Christmas in the Craft Fair December 3rd
Christmas in the Valley in the River Valley kick off the holiday festivities with the Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair on Dec. 3rd.
On Saturday, Dec. 3rd, the Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair sponsored by the River Valley Chamber of Commerce takes place at Mountain Valley High School in Rumford from 9-2pm. 56 crafters and 7 home-based businesses will feature their crafts and wares. $1 donation at the door will help provide food baskets for families of high school kids @ Mountain Valley High.
Come early to pick up your holiday cookies at the always popular Cookie Walk where over 70 dozen will be on hand. The Kid’s Corner, under the supervision of a young adult’s group will run from 10-1pm. The children can come and play games.
A wreath-making class from 10-1pm will be held in the cafeteria. Nancy Volkernick will show you how to make a wreath with real boughs and decorate it in no time. Donation is $12 to make a wreath with a bow, and $16 to make a wreath with bow and embellishments. Sign-up by making pre-payment and calling 364-3241. Walk-ins are welcome but it will be a first come-first serve basis.
Need a great Christmas gift? A Longaberger basket filled with gift certificates/cards from local merchants is the new raffle item. Raffle tickets are $1 for one or 6 for $5. These tickets will be available at the Christmas in the Valley apparel table located near the door as you enter the gym. Proceeds from this go to the scholarship funds for Mountain Valley High & Dirigo High. Stop by the Christmas in the Valley booth to buy your tickets.
Don’t forget to get your tickets for the Chinese Auction where each crafter present will donate one of their wares to be raffled off to one of you very lucky people.
As always, the kitchen will be stocked with breakfast and lunch menu items so plan on having breakfast and lunch with us at the fair.
