Fall Foliage River Run Festival
The River Valley Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Fall Foliage River Run Festival the 2nd Saturday in October.
The day starts off with registration, healthy snacks to get you started and a safety presentation at Hanover Boat Launch located on Route 2.
Canoeists and Kayakers enjoy the serene waters of the Androscoggin River from Hanover down through Rumford Point, Rumford Center and to their final destination of the public launch behind McDonald’s. At the finish point, participants are able to enjoy a nice lunch provided by a local Relay For Life team.
The mileage is estimated at 9.5 miles traveling through crystal clear water lined with all the colors of the beautiful Maine Foliage. This event is aimed at the casual canoeing or kayaking individual, looking to enjoy one of our most spectacular natural resources, The Androscoggin River.
