There is an open call for local comics for 5 to 10 minute bits for Open Mic Comedy at 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater for March 8th.
49 Franklin venue owner and host Scot Grassette has several “seasoned” locals on the schedule but has a limited amount of spots open for any new comers. Grassette says, “We had several people who have done this once and that’s good enough for them. It’s sort of a bucket list thing. People like to say they’ve done it. It’s really awesome because most are really good and could continue if they wanted to.” Most of the material is clean but it’s open mic so there could be adult themes, and language. Any new comers are welcome to contact Grassette at 207-369-0129 or email grassette@gwi to sign up or with any questions about the event.
