Call for Artists and Performers for “Kaleidoscope”

Open call for artists and performers to gather for “Kaleidoscope” to mix, mingle and network at the areas original party for the arts which happens Friday March 1st at 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater in Rumford. The event is open to the public to enjoy local art and performers.

Currently in the works: Kris Howes will lead “Art Fusion” a live interactive art activity. 5 artists take an easel and start to create while a musical performer does a song. When the song is finished, each artists step over to the next easel and add to what has been done; after 5 songs each artist has had taken part to create 5 unique pieces. this will happen several times throughout the event. Area artists are also invited to display and actively create art at their own space.

Local magician Scot Grassette will emcee the event with his added magical flair. Musical performers include Adam Breton on solo acoustic guitar and vocals. Thea Dunn has assembled several of her students who will take the stage and includes Ainsley Brown who attends Telstar Regional High school; Ashley Gurney who attends Buckfield High School; Michaela Beauchesne who attends Mountain Valley High School; Liam and Ashley Child (brother and sister team) who attend Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Friends family and the public is welcome to Kaleidoscope which takes place March 1st at 7:00 pm with doors opening at 6:00 on Friday March 1st at 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater.
