The legendary Park Shark Challenge terrain park snowboarding & freeride skiing series returns February 3rd.
Black Mountain has teamed up with The Riders Club & The University of Maine at Farmington for a fun filled day full of progression, sick features & killer tunes. This series is about making snowboarding & freeride skiing accessible to everyone while focusing on creativity, style & building camaraderie.
The series is open to all ages & abilities: ages 5 to 75, but it is especially open to grade school, middle school, & high schoolers.
There will be prizes, music, amazing terrain park features & more. Riders will be judged on over all impression & winners will be crowned in the following categories: Men & Women Open Snowboard, Men & Women Open Freeski, Boy & Girl 13 & under Snowboard, & Boy & Girl 13 & under Freeski. Park Shark Challenge Series participants may compete in one event or all events.
Registration fee for each of the Challenge events is $25, with no membership required. The fee includes the price of a lift ticket & the competition for the event.
Register at the mountain the day of the event or check The Riders Club Facebook page for pre-event registration information. For those under age 18 a parent or guardian must sign a waiver, available on-site the day of the event.
